The FAQs of Everlea’s Young Families
From the day we opened our doors at the Everlea Display Suite, we have had the fortune of welcoming a great number of young families, looking for a home to live in what will be an exciting new chapter of life. From expecting parents to families with school-aged children, Everlea is the perfect neighbourhood to raise a family and enjoy the many conveniences and charms of this high growth area. If you’re considering Everlea as the place to grow with your family, here we share with you the most frequently asked questions of the many young families who have already purchased a new home at Everlea, including your questions answered.
“What child care options are in the area?”
The suburb of Keysborough has seen enormous growth over the last seven years, with a significant surge of 5,516 residents in 2012, to 11,838 in 2019. Luckily for our young families in the Everlea community, this growth has signalled some fantastic developments including a number of reputable child care centres in Keysborough. Closest to Everlea is the beautiful new Bluebird centre only 200m door to door, where parents can enjoy the luxury of walking their little ones to child care each morning.
There are also many other child care centres within close proximity, and parents can select the right option for their children based on the learning formats and centre ideologies that appeal to them most. In addition to the plethora of child care centres in the area, Tatterson Park (1.4km from Everlea) has been named as the Keysborough South Community Hub which will feature playgroups, structured learning and relaxed style child care for community members to partake in.
“What are the local primary and secondary schools?”
Perfectly positioned to grow with you and your family, Everlea provides families with the full circle education experience from child care to year 12. Of the various private and public school options available in the immediate area or in neighbouring suburbs such as Springvale South and Dingley Village, Haileybury College is a notable option Located only 750m from Everlea, this highly reputable co-ed school caters for pre-school through to Year 12 and was recognised as the ‘Australia School of the Year’ in 2018 at the Australian Education Awards.
Many young families that have joined the Everlea community have expressed interest in the following local schools: Lighthouse College, Keysborough Primary, Keysborough College (Banksia), Keysborough College (Acacia), Sirius College, Chandler Park Primary, St Mark’s Catholic Primary School, Kingswood Primary School and Dandenong High School.
“How many bedrooms should we be looking at for our family”
Like schooling, the number of bedrooms required for a family will vary from family to family. With the recent release of our smaller 3Bedroom townhouses, young families have been drawn to the option of a third bedroom and the opportunity to secure one of these limited townhouses, starting from $685,000. In these more affordable and compact homes, families enjoy 3 bedrooms, generous living space, 2 car park spaces and outdoor rear garden. For families requiring a little more room, larger backyards and double car garages, there are a range of 3Bedroom townhouses available. Talk to our sales agents about what these homes offer, their prices and where they are located within the Everlea estate.
“Is there freedom to alter the townhouse designs in any way?”
At Everlea, there is the opportunity to have a say in the customisation of your home. Select from a range of colours and surfaces, and explore what enhancements are available. Talk to our sales agents who work with our architects to help make this a reality. With the development now in its final stages, this freedom is not available for all remaining townhouses, so get in touch to find out which 3Bedroom townhouses are available, and what the Everlea floorplans currently look like.
“Where can I expect to find a Mothers Group?”
What would parenting be without the sisterhood found in Mothers Group? Keysborough is ripe with many local Mothers Groups and was one of the driving forces in bringing the Tatterson Park South Keysborough Community Hub to fruition. The purpose-built community centre will be a hub that promotes connection, with a number of Mothers Groups congregating in this beautiful space, complete with indoor, outdoor and undercover play areas.
Everlea is also fortunate enough to be close to a number of cafes and restaurants, providing a relaxed social environment to catch up with other mothers. Son of Adam Cafe and the French Baguette Cafe are located next door at the HomeCo Keysborough centre, providing a local refuge on those mornings you need to get out of the house with friends.
“Can my children take public transport from Everlea?”
Keysborough provides a number of great public transport options for your children to travel to school or to various recreational or social engagements, and these public transport options continue to improve and increase in volume and frequency, as the suburb continues to grow. If you or your family members are looking to travel to and from Everlea via public transport, keep an eye out for:
BUS: 902, 828,
TRAIN: Frankston Line
These transport options will leave and drop you off a mere 300 meters from your front door at 452 Cheltenham Road.
“Is there space for the children to play and explore?”
The backyards and natural elements of Everlea’s townhouses are really resonating with young families. Each townhouse has a private outdoor garden with grass to play and hardy trees and shrubbery, providing privacy for the family. What’s more, Everlea Park with its generous stretch of grass and pedestrian walkways, is at the centre of the estate and can be used by all children, and adults alike.
In summary, Everlea and the Keysborough neighbourhood offer many ‘green space’ options for children to play and explore so you can feel comforted that your young ones will have space and access to beautiful play areas, inside and outside of your private residence.
